Lynwood Avocado Nursery has a dedicated team to run and support the nursery. The team has a range of expertise and skills to support growers with their decisions and to help their trees get off to a good start.
Steve has over 35 years’ experience as an avocado nurseryman and grower. Steve has developed Lynwood from a small-scale nursery to the largest avocado nursery in New Zealand. Steve is the chairman of the New Zealand Avocado Nursery Association (NZANA).
Sarah has been involved in the horticulture industry for nearly 30 years and more specifically with avocados for the past 15 years. Sarah’s role includes managing customer relationships and providing technical support both in the nursery and to growers. Sarah is also involved in the technical aspects of our international business. Sarah is the chair of the New Zealand Avocado Nursery Association (NZANA).
Bryan has been involved in the avocado industry since the late 90’s, assisting in the development of a number of orchards. Bryan’s work history includes 25+ years of business management and ownership in other industries. The last 7 years Bryan’s role has assisted with the growth requirements of Lynwood during its move from 15 to almost 40 staff.
Ian has a management and business ownership background in international education and the fresh produce sector. Ian has experience and skills in the areas of international business and communication, logistics, HR, staff management, sales, negotiation, and customer fulfillment. Ian's role at Lynwood involves customer interaction, planning around dispatch of trees, communication and planning of international business and work on orchard development.
Amanda has been involved in the horticulture industry since the early 1990’s including citrus, kiwifruit, retail and avocados. Amanda has been at Lynwood since 2016 and her role includes the day to day managing of nursery production and technical issues within the nursery.
Melanie has had a lifelong interest in many aspects of horticulture and joined the Lynwood team in 2017. Her role, with Stephen Green, is to manage the day to day needs of the Nursery's staff and production targets.
